I went here on a whim while visiting other places nearby, and I don't regret it! I had a cinnamon roll and the elderberry soda, and it really tasted like something homemade that I had in Sweden as a kid. Great place!

A nice cozy place to sit back and chilled~ Coffee is great, get along well with a croissant. And here is foreigner friendly. The barista can communicate English very well. :)

I visited Backen today, a Swedish-style bakery café run by the same owner as Fikafabriken and Torpet. I enjoyed a delicious kardemumma bun, crunchy cinnamon bun corners, and an incredible poppyseed bun—my favorite. The flavors were amazing. I also had a warm cocoa, perfectly balanced and not too sweet, just the way I like it. Although I was in Japan, the taste instantly transported me back to Sweden, bringing back childhood memories of my grandmother’s baking. I highly recommend visiting Backen and treating yourself to a wonderful fika experience!

It's a nice place and worth stopping by if you are nearby, but not worth a special trip. The croissant French toast was good but not mind-blowing, and the Americano was small and acidic. The service was okay, but I didn't like that they don't have a phone number and also do not reply on Instagram.
